Our Philosophy of Ministry

Cedarwood Church is a non denomination evangelical fellowship that places our importance as a church on three things.

  • TO EXALT HIS NAME HIGH ABOVE ALL ELSE
  • TO EQUIP HIS PEOPLE IN TRUTH THROUGH HIS WORD
  • TO EXTEND HIS GRACE TO ALL WHO DO NOT KNOW HIM
  • We want to be who God has called us to be and to do what God has called us to do. This is a recurring theme at Cedarwood emphasized by the Pastor through his expositional preaching from the Bible.

    Our Pastor

Pastor Mike Berg has been at Cedarwood from the beginning and is a graduate of Bethel Theological Seminary, holds a Master of Divinity degree, is ordained, is a Viet Nam Veteran and has been involved in various ministries since 1973. He is an expositional preacher (teaches directly from the texts of the Bible) a musician and loves to be involved in Hockey in his spare time. He and his wife, Judy, have three married children and two grandchildren and have made their home in Rosemount for 26 years.

    Our Statement of Faith

    We believe..

the bible is the inspired, infallible word of God and is the only authoritative source of truth for matters pertaining to faith in God.

there is one God, eternally existent in three persons as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

God created man in His own image to glorify Him and live in fellowship with Him but as a result of sin is separated from God and in need of salvation.

Jesus Christ is fully God and Fully human; was crucified, died and was buried and bodily resurrected to reconcile sinful men to God.

in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, in His miraculous works, in His bodily ascension into heaven and His soon to come personal return to reign in power and glory.

There is no other way to gain salvation but through the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross.

the Holy Spirit is fully God and is present in us when we by faith embrace the atoning work of Jesus Christ

the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, leads us into all truth regarding Jesus Christ, transforms our lives and empowers us with grace so we can be who God wants us to be and do what God wants us to do.

faith in Jesus Christ will lead to eternal life in the presence of God and a rejection of His atoning work will lead to eternal damnation. There is a heaven and a hell.

there is one universal Christian church made up of those who have embraced Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who now live as ambassadors for Christ reconciling the world to God through His atoning work
